VisitEngland Award

The College is delighted to announce that it has been awarded a Four Star Campus Accommodation rating by VisitEngland. This includes membership of the Walkers Welcome and Cyclists Welcome schemes which means that visitors can not only expect a warm welcome but can also enjoy facilities suited to their needs such as a drying room for muddy boots and lockable storage for bikes.

Following a visit in October of the Colleges three main accommodation blocks and on site facilities, Liz Roughley of VisitEngland said, “The Fire Service College provides a very good standard of accommodation. On this visit, it achieved a Four Star Campus Rating and sits very well in the rating”

Conference and events lead, Nick Akerman said, “Gaining this high-level accreditation for our bedroom stock from VisitEngland should open our doors to several new markets – particularly for weekend occupancy.

“There is no doubt the North Cotswolds and Shakespeare’s England areas are leisure tourism hotspots. We now have credibility as a potential bolthole for walkers, cyclists and other groups or individuals wanting to explore this area of outstanding natural beauty. I’m sure the quality marque will also give potential conference clients peace of mind when considering FSC for their next residential event.”
